Alexia Blick

Alexia is currently completing her Master’s in Counselling Psychology (MAEd) at the University of Ottawa, where she also earned an Honours Bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a minor in Linguistics. Her passion for mental wellness and advocacy is deeply rooted in her lived experience as a sibling of a younger brother diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder. Her personal journey has shaped a strong understanding of the educational, healthcare, and everyday challenges neurodivergent individuals and their families face. This perspective fuels her commitment to creating supportive and inclusive spaces where everyone can thrive.

Alexia has translated her personal experiences and drive into a diverse professional skillset. As an Instructor Therapist, she honed her ability to support children with ASD using Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA); as a youth facilitator, she guided at-risk youth toward positive outcomes. In both roles, she collaborated with interdisciplinary teams including teachers, psychologists, and social workers, to provide holistic support for clients across school, home, and community settings.

Under the supervision of Dr. Julia Ryan, Alexia serves as a group service facilitator and psychometrist-in-training. She employs a client-centred, strengths-based, and evidence-informed approach in her work with youth, young adults, and families. Alexia is dedicated to fostering self-advocacy, self-regulation, independence, and emotional safety. She is honoured to support her clients and their families as they pursue their unique goals.
