Samrah is a practicum student therapist currently completing her Master of Arts in Counselling, Psychotherapy and Spirituality at Saint Paul University. She also holds an Honours B.Sc. in Psychology from the University of Ottawa. Samrah has a background working as an ABA Instructor Therapist, supporting neurodiverse children and their families, and has volunteered with Ausome Ottawa to support children in recreational settings. She is also a research assistant and is currently conducting her thesis on the co-occurence of ASD and ADHD. This background has provided her with a strong foundation in working with children and supporting neurodiverse individuals.
Samrah provides psychotherapy services in English to children and adolescents under the supervision of Samantha Davidson (Registered Psychotherapist). Samrah is deeply committed to supporting children and youth, striving to create a warm, compassionate and inclusive environment. She emphasizes collaboration in the therapeutic process, working closely with clients and families to navigate challenges, build effective coping strategies, and foster positive communication. Her approach is client-centered, integrating therapeutic skills from cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), attachment theory and mindfulness-based practices. Samrah’s goal is to create a safe environment where clients feel heard, understood, and supported.
