Sherry Mitchell

I believe every person is valuable and unique. As a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying), I’m passionate about supporting children, adolescents, and adults through a neurodiverse-affirming lens. Whether you’re navigating anxiety, depression, emotional dysregulation, executive functioning difficulties, or behavioural challenges, my goal is to meet you where you are with empathy, respect, and kindness.

I have a Masters in Counselling Psychology and an Honours B.Sc. in Occupational Therapy. Over the past 25+ years, I’ve worked in a variety of healthcare settings, bringing a rich and diverse background to my therapy practice.

My integrative approach draws on evidence-based therapies consisting of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Schema Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).
At the heart of my work is creating a safe, culturally responsive space where you feel heard and supported. Together, we’ll explore your thoughts, emotions, and behaviours to help you build resilience, restore balance, and live a life aligned with your values.
I offer both in-person and virtual sessions in English, and I currently practice under the supervision of Dr. Julia Ryan.
