Courtney Valeyev

My name is Courtney. I am a Social Worker/Psychotherapist with over a decade of experience supporting children, youth, adults, parents, and families. I help clients navigate anxiety, depression, eating disorders, self-harm, addictions, family conflict, parenting challenges, intergenerational trauma, school-related stress, burnout, and major life transitions.

I am trained in EMDR, Collaborative Proactive Solutions, Mindfulness, and draw from several trauma- and attachment-informed therapeutic modalities. My goal is to offer a safe, collaborative space that empowers clients with their wellbeing and healing.

In addition to my professional perspectives, I am a mom to an Autistic PDA’er. My experience advocating for my son’s well-being in creative, neuro-affirming ways helps me provide tailored, non-judgmental support to families with similar experiences. I am passionate about supporting parents and families with finding parenting solutions that work best for them.

I am also of mixed ancestry Anishinaabe from Hiawatha First Nation, bringing a culturally informed perspective to my work. I’ve worked extensively with Indigenous communities and have had the opportunity to support other Indigenous Social Workers through clinical supervision and mentorship. I am committed to providing affirming, inclusive care for all, including minority groups and the 2SLGBTQ+ community.
