Merise Du Toit

Merise Du Toit is a supervised clinician with a background practicing as a psychologist in South Africa. While completing the steps required to transfer her credentials to Ontario, Merise has spent the past five years working as a psychoeducational consultant with the Ottawa Carleton District School Board, completing assessments with elementary and high school-aged students to inform learning and programming decisions. In this role, she has also consulted extensively on the social, emotional, and behavioral difficulties that can present in the school context.

At Julia Ryan Psychology, Merise offers psychoeducational assessments to children and adolescents under the supervision of Dr. Julia Ryan, bringing a strong understanding of the school system and how assessment findings translate into practical support in the classroom.

Merise works a casual part-time schedule during the school year, with more availability over the summer months.
