Therapeutic Activity-Based Group Programs

Our activity-based groups for ages 13-25 provide a welcoming, supportive space where individuals can nurture their interests, build confidence, and explore peer connection at their own pace. Through activity-based programming, both in-clinic and in the community, participants engage in shared interests while developing social, communication, executive functioning, and everyday life skills in meaningful, real-world contexts.

We offer a variety of individual and group activities, including arts, games, cooking, gardening, and outdoor activities. We use a predictable daily schedule with built-in flexibility to meet the needs of the individuals in the group, planning activities with their strengths, interests, and needs in mind. We support self-advocacy and respect individual choices, offering support to enjoy the varied activities we offer. Our groups can also offer opportunities for support with homework, academic goals or volunteer/employment depending on the needs of the group.

Rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach, we support each participant in identifying their own goals — whether that’s building confidence, developing daily structure, strengthening independence, or exploring next steps in a way that feels manageable and meaningful. We aim to meet each person where they are, celebrating their individuality and helping them grow in meaningful and empowering ways.

We currently run the following groups (subject to change):
Saturday mornings, 8 session blocks
Tuesday and Thursday daytime afternoons, 2-3 month blocks
Summer mornings or afternoons, 6 week block

Groups are generally organized around age, grade or life stage, with similar interests and goals. We get to know each client interested in these services to plan carefully for their successful participation and integration in a group setting.
