Dr. Nicolás Francisco Narvaez Linares (he/him)

Dr. Narvaez Linares is registered with the College of Psychologists of Ontario in Supervised Practice in the areas of Clinical, School, and Neuropsychology with children and youth (ages 3 to 19). He is also seeking registration with the College of Psychologists of Québec. Dr. Narvaez Linares pursued pre- & post- doctoral training in different community clinics, hospitals, and School District. He is known for his warm, approachable and authentic style.

In therapy, he provides in person and virtual services in English, French, and Spanish to children and youth struggling with anxiety and/or mood disorders, and those looking for support with stress management and interpersonal challenges. He also works with youth who have been identified as gifted/twice-exceptional and those with mild executive functioning challenges and LGBTIQA+ issues. His theoretical orientation is primarily cognitive-behavioural therapy while integrating perspectives and techniques from interpersonal therapy. He is passionate about applying neurobiological and multicultural perspectives when working with clients.

Regarding assessments, he provides neuropsychological and psychoeducational assessments to children and youth who have a medical condition, a neurodevelopmental disorder (e.g., ADHD, ASD, APD, ID, SLD), or are gifted/twice-exceptional.

He has published in scientific journals, presented at multiple conferences, and taught university courses. He continues volunteering with organizations that promote youth leadership and citizenship, and advocating for human rights. In addition, he is part of different committees at the local and national levels promoting training in psychology.
